    just bought a hotpoint rla31 fridge from currys. After having it running for a couple of hours i noticed the light inside the fridge was not working. and 30 mins later it was. it only seems to work when the fridge thermostat cuts in (is it wired up wrong?) after going round in circles speaking to currys customer service, they will get someone out next tuesday!! 😳 just wanted to no if anyone has had same problem ( faulty batch) and how to fix it thanks 😀

    Yes your correct the thermostat is incorrectly wired don’t attempt to do this yourself if its under guarantee leave it to Hotpoint

    thanks alot for reply 😆 . will this wiring fault damage the fridge anymore, until hotpoint arrive on tuesday?

    to be on the safe side, i would unplug it untill its been checked out

    It shouldn’t, wire is probably on wrong terminal on stat when the thermostat cycles on and off does the compressor turn off as well if so wait till Hotpoint come out

    compressor cuts in and out like normal it seems to be only the light issue everything else works fine (fridge seems cold inside) I think i will hav’t to wait till tuesday thankyou for all your help 😆
