Just wanted to check with you guys…

This microwave in question was sparking all over the the place and the inverter blown – burnt smell

Do I need to replace the inverter board and magnetron same time to make good repair?

Interesting… do you have the cross reference codes for this and compare against Panasonic? I’ve yet to hear from the owner, I think they were freaked out by the cost of new parts. If I come up with the Panasonic equivalent at much lower prices then they may calm down. Thanks in advance

mag seems to be 2m261-m32 which is on aswo for £42 +vat for gen panasonic

the inverter you need the numbers off it will be something like F606y etc printed on the coil

has inverter burnt out? have you checked. normally blows internal fuse when they do

Internal fuse is ok which is odd?
Definitely it is the inverter blown as smelt burning and blackening of pcb on the inverter board.
Strange that ASWO usually offer alternative part and I have selected the Panasonic one but not for the inverter. Will look again and thank you for your help.
