I have recently had a lot of work done in my utility area and ever since the dryer was put back in place, I am getting pools of water on the floor and steam filling the room even though the external hose is correctly connected. There doesn’t seem to be any flow of hot, wet air through the external hose. It all seems to be piling out of the vents at the top of the machine back panel. The machine cabinet gets VERY hot!
I disconnected the exhaust hose and looked inside. There didn’t seem to be any connection between the drum outlet and the external hose hole, so obviously, the hot air was just swirling around the cabinet and exhausting through the vents (which I assume are the inlet vents?)
I guess my main question is, should there be some form of hose/connection between the drum outlet and the external hose outlet?
    Thanks in advance.

I would attach a photo, but seems like I can’t here. A 445kb photo goes over my 19k limit apparently. Am I doing something wrong?

That limit is in place to prevent spammers, if we released it the forums would get filled with junk.

IDV75 is a partial model number, do you have the industrial code or IC it might be labelled as there are numerous versions of the model?

Thanks a lot. The model number is IDV75UK and the Ind Code is 95746289700.
So, is there no way to post a photo?

I think you are missing a bit! There should be an INTERNALhard plasic tube that goes front to back within the machine so from the bottom of the front filter unit to the round hole as looking from the rear bottom r/h/side where the white vent hose fits into. The part number is C00095624 also known as J00114648.

You’re a star! Armed with that knowledge, I searched through the builder’s rubbish pile and found the black plastic pipe which was about to go to the skip!! All working well now.
    I can’t thank you enough!
