Have just bought and fitted a new motorised selector.
    Part number: 9120 1338. EAN Code: 4045516000225

When power is switched on, the off position (originally 12 o’clock position) has moved to the programme 10 position (4 o’clock position).
    No programmes can be selected.
Selector can be turned through 360 as normal. Motor does not seen be energising at all.
Message display is: HOOVER INTER@CT WELCOME 00.00

Electrical connections are: 1 x small board connector which is one way fit only and 2 spade connectors : 1 x brown and 1 x red/white.
Is there a set up procedure or some type of ‘memory’ associated with the fitting of the selector.
No tech info available from Hoover. Machine is 4 years old next month.
    Machine serial number is: 3999 0064 0112 1829.
    Model : A7 110 01
    Type: FCE7

It is likely that if the new part supplied was slightly different to the old one? Then the support bracket needs ‘tweaking’ to accomodate it in the correct position 😉

There are no wiring mods or anything else required to replace it as far as I recall 😕

The new part and identical item, two screws, two spades and a small board connector.

Unfortunately, have had to give in to domestic pressure and call Hoover repair man in.
Apparently he’ll have to plug in his diagnostics! Not overly happy about it, but…….
I’ll post an update on Monday/Tuesday when it’s done in the event anyone else has the same problem in the future.
