ParticipantHi all, hope you can point me in the right direction. Model number L75670NWD.
a little while ago we noticed that during wash cycles the fabric softener wasn’t being taken into the machine. A little time later the machine just stopped a short while into the cycle but didn’t give any error code. I’ve checked the dispenser drawer and given all the nozzles a good clean with viacal. I have also taken off the lid and checked the resistance of the three inlet valves. Two were reading 3.6k, and one was reading 5k. I assumed that the coils are probably different, and that none were open circuit or short circuit then maybe this isn’t the issue. Anyone know if those readings are in the right ballpark, or if you’d expect all to be the same?
I’ve done a few tests. On a short 20minute cycle the water usually comes through as expected from the ‘main detergent’ nozzles, but in the fabric softener section, only a small dribble comes through from a ‘hole’ near the back. On longer cycles, nothing appears to come through the ‘main dispenser’ nozzles, and it only comes from the small hole at the back of the fabric softener compartment. Hence it takes ages to fill up and I’m guessing the machine is getting confused as it doesn’t expect things to take so long?
I’ve seen some suggestions for similar machines that cleaning up the programme board may help. However, not sure where that’s located or how to access it.
anyone got any thoughts on the points above?
thanks in advance!

Moderatorfirst thing to check is always the water valves

ParticipantYes, as per the post I checked the resistance of them. Is there anything else I can check other than the resistance, and do you think the readings above sound ok? Dave

yes readings are ok but the next thing is flow rate
if the valve is activated but the flow rate is low you will have to change the valve
assume your water flow to the machine is ok

ParticipantOk thanks. Yes, water flow to machine is fine and I’ve checked the pipe, filter etc on the inlet. guess I’d better try changing the valves and hope that’s the fix.

ParticipantWell if the tap, i/inlet pipe and the inlet pipe washer gauzes are unblocked and so the H2O pressure is not an issue you have 4 things left a) the valve might be playing silly buggers and I have had them where the coils are fine but the valve solenoid concerned still only half works** or b) the white plastic pipe union – that is that detachable insert where the rubber hoses fit onto to the soap box is part blocked up or c) the soap box top is still blocked up near where the plastic pipe union is located or d) a combination of the above. **”the valves either work or they don`t” They cannot half work surely?…..Oh yes they can only half work, and especially with the valves Zanussi / AEG are using though it`s not an over common fault I`ll grant you but I have had that a few times. Valve part number is 1325188413 and if required that pipe union thingy is part 1249470053. I`ll probably be the valve that is duff !

Participantp.s the part numbers are based on what model number you gave since you do not state the product / pnc code numbers
