I am trying to replace the green “on” indicator light bulb but cannot find the voltage and wattage. The tested voltage appears to be 1.5Vac which I find strange. There could be a diode in the encapsulation but there is no way to find out. Can anyone help please?
A photo of the indicator would assist (need to host on another site). Is it totally dead or just very dim? If very dim it could well be a neon which will likely have a series resistor packaged with it.
But surely if the resistor was encapsulated it would register 230V at the input to the package and drop to the required voltage after the resistor but in this case the only voltage I can measure is the 1.5Vac input to the package (tried to DMM’s to be sure). No it is not dim it is zero.
