    Good afternoon all,

I visited a customer earlier today to take a look at a problem with the above washer/dryer.

Having selected a wash cycle, the door locks, but does not draw water, prior to beeping and aborting the cycle around one minute later.

However, my customer informed me that the machine works fine on a rinse/spin cycle, which I confirmed.

I suspect the main board, but decided to test the wash heating element too, as I know they can cause obscure faults.

The element is fine, but I don’t wish to quote for an expensive board unless I’m sure it is the cause…

    Thank you,

Could this be a faulty inlet valve?

    Good morning all,

    Thanks for your feedback.

I’ll need to return to carry out further tests, and wonder if anyone could provide the Diagnostic Test Mode info’?

p.s. when the machine doesn’t fill on wash cycles, and aborts after a minute or so, the wash light flashes, with one beep around five second intervals, if that is useful?

well the wash light if its a fault code is fault 8 heater problem

disconnect heater, remove belt. add a pump or lamp to heater wires and see what happens

Re-visted the washer/dryer in question earlier in the week, and did some more tests.

Confirmed fault almost certainly a board fault, which customer agrees is too expensive to replace as she doesn’t like the appliance either!

    Thanks for your help.
