    Hi people.

After 17 years oven cleaning ive had my first issue..cleaned a neff double oven and this one has developed a fault. I havent got a model number at minute but it’s the real common older model between 15 and 20 years old.

Basically the cooling fan behind the control panel runs as soon as you turn the isolator on at the wall, before setting clock or anything and doesnt stop.

I had to smash off the light bulb cover as even with my tool it wouldn’t budge, I’ve done this many times and dont bash it too hard, just enough to make a hole in it.

I guess I have disturbed something. I don’t use sprays, I know it isn’t water ingress, and I always power off when working.

    Can anyone advise?

I’m guessing that a fault has developed with the PCB board. I’ve had issues with these in the past (I’m an oven cleaner too). Only ever with Neff, and it’s always been to do with the lamp.

if its 15 to 20 years old it may not have a pcb

some early ones mounted the fan stat on the lamp
