AEG T65170AV Not Drying

Hi All,

Appreciate some help in diagnosing my tumble dryer issue. It’s an AEG T65170AV (916095259 06) Vented Dryer.

A few days ago it began to stop mid-cycle and beep a few times – we’d see an amber light flashing on it. We’d restart it, but the same issue would occur.

A few days on, and it seems to have stopped halting mid-cycle, but it’s not heating up and therefore not really drying the clothes. Tried the basics of cleaning the filter and powering it off.

I’ve read a few things online to suggest it might be the heating element or the NTC (?), but I want to be sure before I purchase any spare part.

I have tried to get an error code from it by holding down the ‘start’ button and the ‘buzzer’ button and it seems to flash amber 6 times and then red twice. After that it flashes all over the place so it’s a bit confusing, but i think they’re the flashes that mean something… if that makes sense?

Any suggestions on how to proceed?
