Hoover motor triac

    For those who know about electronics, would a bta316-800c motor triac be ok to fit on a Hoover module instead of the bta316-800b that is on it?

    From what I can see the main difference is the max current at the gate is 35mA on the C version compared to 50mA on the B version.

    prob will work but the correct one is in stock lots of places including ASWO

    I ordered the b version but received the c version…
    Seller’s mistake, he offered to send correct one for free, though he said it will work. So that’s 2 people saying it should work.
    Would the C be more likely to fail than the B?

    spec for current and voltage are the same but some of the other specs are different

    dont know what it will do for reliability

    Ok, thanks Dave.
    Think I’ll take the seller up on his offer of sending the correct one free, just to be on the safe side. Fortunately, the customers are not in a rush as they can take their washing to their daughter’s.
