I have a Bosch SG145E12GB with a “Check water” error. Googling suggests that the water inlet is blocked in some way. I have managed to dismantle the dishwasher to the stage shown in the first photo. (You can also see in the photo that there appears to be a lot of calcium build-up in the housing.) However, I am now stuck. I believe I need to remove the cap on the inside of the dishwasher, second photo, but I’m not sure how to do that. I have tried twisting the cap using pliers but the plastic doesn’t appear to be very strong and it’s not budging. Am I correct that I should be twisting it, or should I be prying it off? Any help would be much appreciated.

    Thanks, Jon

is the checfk water light flashing or on all the time

if its a solid light its probably the impellor jug , the white round thin on the short hose on left of top picture

Thanks for the reply. The light comes on a couple of minutes after starting the washing cycle. It then stays on.
I have just Googled how to replace the impeller, and it looks rather more involved than I was hoping for. I might just call an engineer.

you are half way there to replace it

you have removed the tube at one end now
turn off water and take inlet hose off
unclip the rear cover and as it comes out disconnect the 2 wires to the inlet valve
impellor can then be withdrawn from rear
swop hoses to new impellor making sure it all aligned the same and replace. dont forget to put inlet valve wires back, either way round will work ok
