    Hi, I have a siemens dishwasher and have just filled the dispenser full with dishwasher salt but the refill light remains on and it’s literally full till the top, I’m not sure what to do about it? Any help would be appreciated

    well it wont stop the unit working as its only an indicator like the fuel guage on a car

    True but that has not helped me with getting this fixed?

    well a model number would help to know which machine you have problems with

    The sensor seems to be an optical
    you can remove the sensor , block the light between the light and sensor and see if the light goes out

    we have to try and find if the fault is

    1 sensor
    2 board
    3 wiring
    4 the float in the softner has stuck

    also model no contains 2 more numbers after /
