Hotpoint WMA52 no motor activity then flashing lights

Hello, this forum helped me diagnose & fix my WMA52 some 11 years ago:

The machine has performed perfectly since then & is approaching 20 years of service.

It’s played up today though, started a cycle OK, but has stopped all motor movement mid cycle, it then died flashing the lights in sequence.
I’ve managed to recreate the problems & recorded them.
Motor seems to be running noisily
Flashing

First thoughts are motor brushes, belt or motor has died. All other operations work, filling & draining etc. I was able to cancel the program & it drained & unlock the door allowing me to rescue the load.

I’d appreciate any thoughts. I did have the motor out during the 2011 thread, so should still be able to do this 12 years older.
