ParticipantI’ve owned the above washing machine since 2015. Recently it’s developed an annoying leak, which seems to be coming from the left hand side of the washing (soap dispenser area)
Some times the leak seems to come down the front of the machine from the soap dispenser (almost like its splash back from the drum)
I’ve kind of reached the end of my tether with it – but it’s built in and I suspect replacing it with another manufacturers machine is going to be a pain because the door hinge positions will be different.
I’ve checked it drains ok, taken apart the drain hose and checked for leaks, checked the pump filter is clear.
I’ve taken apart the the soap drawer assembly – made sure it’s clear along with the soap drawer to tub pipework.
Door seal has been removed and refitted and also seems fine,
But still the damn thing leaks occasionally

It doesn’t always leak, and it seems worse on some programs than others. I used the Cottons program last and it left quite a bit of a mark on the floor. Normally I use the daily quick. There didn’t seem anywhere obvious where the water had come from though.
The thing is currently in bits on the kitchen floor

I also know someone else with the same washer who has suffered similar issues, to the point the front of their machine has rusted around the soap dispenser
Any suggestions or ideas greatly appreciated 🙂

ParticipantHi Dave
Let me know how you get on – I had a hunch it might be related to the dispenser body
Def seems like a common issue as I’ve found a few other people reporting this problem – but nobody’s managed a fix.
Fingers crossed for you
Best Regards

Moderatorwell new box no leaks
the only problem i had was the new box was different in 2 ways
1 there were 3 inlets
2 the catch to stop the draw coming out was different and my customers draw would come all the way out without stoppingcould not change the draw stop but had to melt closed the other inlet with a soldering iron
all sorted

ParticipantThanks for the update – was there anything obvious wrong with the old box ?
I’ve ordered a new one for mine today – fingers crossed I don’t need to modify it
Kind Regards

Moderatorfor my job not heard anthing from customer so can only assume still no leaks
as for the box there is no obvious reason for the leak but changing box cures it
