    Hi,

Recently I have noticed that my Siemens built-in electric double oven (model: hb 15 m.50B) has started to misbehave. I turn it on and set the temperature to say 180 degrees, then after it has been on for a couple of minutes, it starts to make a few low clicking sounds and then resets itself to 160 degrees. Sometimes just turning it off and back on sorts the issue. Today the problem re-occured, but I noticed that when the temp went back to 160 degrees, the timer that I had set stopped working. Does anyone have any idea what the issue might be? If yes, could you please let me know what part I need and how easy it is to install.

    Thanks

Anyone got any idea what the issue might be? Otherwise, not sure if it’s worth getting fixed being 10 years old or to replace it with a new one. I have a party at the weekend, so need a working oven for that.

    Thanks

As this appears to be a electronically controlled oven I’d start by taking a look at the controller PCB as it sounds like it’s crashing and resetting. Probably a power supply issue.

    Thanks for the reply.

Would the power supply be easy to replace, and are spares readily available on an old machine?

well you can get a power supply but its about £106

and you cant be certain its the fault although it sounds possible
