AEG U3100-4-M – Heat Deflector – Marble/Granite Worktop

I have been asked to sort out a couple of issues with this oven, I have already fixed the door but noticed that this oven has got a heat deflector (3114249018) loosely installed at the top, as this is installed under a granite/marble type worktop it has not been screwed into position as the instructions say it should and is instead drooping down and blocking some of the exit flow of the cooling fan which is then being redirected round the side of the oven door and causing damage to the cupboard doors. The instructions seem to assume that it is a wooden worktop and doesn’tsay anything about what to do with this type of worktop.

I can’t screw into the worktop and I am not sure if I should be trying to glue it into position or eliminating the deflector altogether.
