This tumble dryer will not power up.
Checked fuse and leads. Changed the display PCB 2991500200 same fault – no power.
    Suspect the main PCB.
Anyone had this problem? Any PCB repair simpler to the Beko washing machine D7 diode repair?

first check the inrush resistor will be under 100 ohms. cant see coloured bands on the pic i have

    see pic

I have looked at the resistor at R4 on the board. it looks like a 11 ohm resistor. i am getting 33 ohms reading through it. does the resistor go open circuit when it fails?

    thanks mark.

    thanks mark.

yes it will normally blow open

if that is ok the next test needs to be live

you need to look at the electrolytic caps. look at the working voltages on them. a couple may be 400v but the ones your looking for are lower. power up and see if there is any voltages present all voltages will be under 50v so safe apart from thr mains side. if you get a voltage need to know if its a steady voltage and not going up and down

the saga of the grundig tumble dryer goes on. with the original display board fitted the time delay light flashes constantly but the dryer will not power on the display. if i fit the new display board there are no lights flashing and it will not power on. i don’t understand this as i thought the light flashing may be an error code?

flashing light is not an error code

chances here its the other board with the fault or both of them

Wiring info does not give connection info to the display board but my guess is the power supply for this board will come from the other board. it may take the form of one voltage or 2. if its 2 you may have lost oner of them

It was both Pcb boards in the end. the second board took over a month to arrive, but finally got it sorted.
