Our Bosch (KGV33UW30G/06) fridge freezer was quite badly iced up so I switched it off and defrosted it, clearing out the build up of ice in the freezer and the back of the fridge.
When I switched it back on the LED light started flickering and the unit did not start cooling at all. In fact the left hand inside of the fridge was actually heating up at the top.
I’ve tried leaving it switched off now with the doors open hoping that something will magically fix it – but does anyone have any idea what may have happened?

I’m not familiar with the model but, can you hear the compressor trying to run at the back as it should be?

It does sound as though it’s working. But I’ve just checked again and in fact on the inside of the fridge unit, on the upper left hand side, it’s actually warm to the touch – the longer I leave it on the warmer it gets. So it’s actually heating up the fridge.
The LED light does not come on full but is much dimmer than normal (although it’s stopped flashing).
I don’t think it was cooling properly before I defrosted it as the items on the top shelf of the fridge didn’t feel cold at all.
It’s possibly locked on a defrost or, the compressor is faulty but remotely it’s hard to say which and more so as I’ve no experience with those units though sadly I think the latter is more likely.
