Creda 37760 Vent Hose Keeps Disconnecting

The vent hose at the rear of our Creda 37760 keeps disconnecting. It’s a hose just like this one and is connected to the dryer using the adapter as shown: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/291043323704?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=9sqYTAGLTqy&sssrc=2047675&ssuid=WMPjmpVBQ-i&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY

To be clear: It connects to the dryer just fine. But once the dryer is running, after some time, it will disconnect. It’s as if the hose adapter just doesn’t hold any grip.
The point where the hose runs outside is clear from any built-up lint.

What could be going wrong here?

is it a genuine adaptor ?

some of the copy parts dont perform as well

Have no idea. All I know is that it looks like a genuine original.

well they list it as a gen part so should be fine

should come in a bag with gen part no on and the correct logo

To be honest, over the years I have had the genuine ones come loose occasionally, even on my own venerable Hotpoint TL 61. I used to wrap a few layers of insulation tape round and round the plastic insert splines before pushing the end in which used to keep it in place (for a while).
