    Hi there,
I have a Bosch wae24363gb/06 that started tripping my RCD. It was fine on a cold rinse spin and drain, but anything that needed heat tripped my RCD, so thought it would be the with replacing the heating element.
Having replaced it, transferring the thermistor from the old element, the machine seems happy washing but doesn’t seem to heat the water on any wash. Watching the Watts it only gets up to mid to high 200s for the motor on a full load but doesn’t seem to ever use the element.
The heating element has approx 20ohms and the thermistor 6k ohms.
I unplugged the element and thermistor completely, hoping that it would throw an error in a wash cycle, indicating that when connected it is detecting them fine, but it seems to be happy running a 90 degree wash as normal with cold water and both disconnected.

Would you have any recommendations on how to debug this further? Do these machines have test modes you can put them in to get them to test the presence of or put load through the heating element?

    Thanks for your help

its odd because it could not blow your trip previously if the heater was not activated

check the board for damage or bad solder joints in the heater circuit

    Not that I know of.
Broken heater or themistor wire perhaps? Admit that is not that common on these machines but have had it happen twice near the plastic tag guide thing on the tank – roughly about 12″ from the heater.

Yes they do have a test programme to test if the heater is coming on its the reset process for f21 but you don’t turn off you turn to either position 5 or 6
