Machine was new in 2010, has been faultless up until the other night.
It was still running when we came down in the morning after setting it going the night before.
Switched it off , reset, and it wouldn’t fill. The “Check Water” LED was illuminated

Fitted a new inlet valve and “jug”. It now fills OK ,runs the rinse cycle , drains the “sump” but wont switch off.

I checked the polystyrene float was in position, it was.

I have found out how to access the fault codes , and I just get E6 Aqua sensor defective. (could be due to tipping it on its side?)

Only thing I can add is “operator abuse”!!

The last time it ran successfully, I had just filled it with salt and ran the rinse cycle to flush out the spilt salt. This was during the day.
come the evening , filled it with all the evening’s dishes and set it off. A few minutes later I observed that it was doing a rinse cycle! Doh!.
Instead of switching it off, I pressed buttons and changed programs in mid flight so to speak. Left it alone until we found it still running the following morning.
    I think this is significant.
Any suggestions on how to proceed very welcome.

    Thank in advance

    Update:-

Water leaks into base during operation.

From the left hand side I cannot see any leaks while the machine is running.

I cannot see a method of solving this. All the likely sites are hidden from view. Any suggestions where this leak might be coming from ?

    Thanks

Update 2: Concluded its unlikely I will be able to solve this one, so have ordered a replacement.

If you change the impellor jug the machine is apt to leak usually from the hose junction with the water fill chamber l/h/side of the machine – very common – as it is filling up the machine so refit hose with ev stick glue as a sealant and retest the next day.
The leak triggers the float emergency float = pumping out noise.
Other favorite leak is from the right hand side where the s/steel tank meets the plastic base because the plastic base warps from front to back – it bows out causing the machine to spit water which of course also then triggers the float.

Thanks for reply – The leak was the latter source I suspect. It was certainly from the right hand side of the machine.

For the benefit of others with similar issue, is there a way of sealing this separation? I would think Silicone rubber would be a good approach?
