    Can anybody assist, I have a whirlpool model 8143 german built front loader washer and have just removed the motor. The commutator is burnt between segments and badly arcs. Has anybody had this problem with the whirlpool and any known causes. Woud appreciate advice.

    Hi Newdig,

    Well it looks like a new motor i’m affraid. There are numerous causes from overloading, not leveling the machine, restricted pump flow, age, the list goes on.

    Hi Newdig,

    If you would like a new motor, please give us a buz on 0870 766 7453 – mail order department. Unfortunatly, its around the £100 -£120 mark – 😥 we will need the bar code number from the door (12 digits, starts with 85)
