Hi !
I’ve got a Candy freestanding 50:50 fridge freezer and it is constantly icing up in the left hand side of the condensation channel. As the drain hole is about six inches from the left wall, it doesn’t take long before the ice reaches, and blocks the drain, leaving all the water to collect underneath the salad box.
The internal temperature is fine, and the thermostat is set to 4/6. I’ve tried putting a box of fresh cat litter in there to dehumidify, and this helps but doesn’t cure it.
The ice forms at this spot only and I’m wondering if there’s a bit of the cooling pipework too close on the other side of the rear wall? I’m getting very fed up of constantly clearing this ice and steam -cleaning the drain hole.
Does anyone have any ideas please before I take it down the tip?
Thanks!
