ParticipantHi All,
I have a White Knight Eco 86A gas tumble dryer, my drum has cracked at one of the rivets holding the bearing spyder on – its only a matter of time until it becomes unusable.
I’ve seen a reference somewhere – think it was a second hand part on ebay – that suggested the drum White knight used is also a Baumatic part?
I’ve tried searching around, but havent been able to find anything to confirm or give me another part number that I could try get (not even sure if the ‘Baumatic’ part is still available anyway) Did try Crosslee about a year ago, but as they no longer make any they were unwilling to spend any time to try offer ANY assistance….Anyone have any cross-reference info to tell what part they used and what other manufacturers shared?
Gutted if I have to retire this machine – its brilliant.

Moderatorwhite knight as far as i know made all the gas dryers
so these dryers appeared under many names over the years white knight, baumatic , cannon, Bosch, carleton to name a few. Some electric some Gas
drums are more or less the same with slight differences. not an easy job to say which drum will fit what
Dave
found 2 drums on ebay, one for a sensor dryer the other not but he wants silly money and they are in ireland

ParticipantYeah, Was hoping someone might have a cross-reference table showing part number equivalents as I know the parts were bought from common suppliers by the different brands.
Hardly going to use something custom/bespoke when they can grab a generic part from the drum manufacturer that was already in production and used elsewhere.Heres hoping someone has the magic reference! 😉

Moderatorproblem here is white knight made all the spares for these. They were so cheap it was not worth anyone else tooling up to make them.
result was when WK gave up all the spares evaporated
Dave
could probably find WK’s part no for the drum but there is not point if you cant get it

KeymasterYou won’t get that anywhere now, it’s been obsolete for a few years and nobody has any.
