can anyone help with problem i have with hygena dishwaser it will not fill with water this is all on but all that happens is eliment starts smokeing can anyone addvise me please

I’m afraid the ‘Select’ part doesn’t really help.
If you open the door and look down the sides of the door there should be a rating plate with a model number. This should start with AHY, ADP or APL as Dave says above.Craig

😳 DO NOT NO MODEL NO BUT IT IS A HYGENA SELECT IS THIS ANY HELP ITS ABOUT FOUR YEARS OLD BROUGHT FROM M F I [u
possible wiring loom fault take door panel off and check wiring in door. if not take the anti flood chamber off the water valve if the machine fills you will require a lower air trap on left hand side of unit

Model number will be on a label around the edge of the door, starting AHY—-.
As these dishwashers come from several different sources, the number is critical to any form of accurate diagnosis of the problem. Sufficed to say that if the machine is not filling and puts the heater on, it thinks that it is already full……..
Pull the plug before any internal investigations :plug: .

Are you the original topic starter please with a “not filling” problem ?
If so, this is a Brandt made appliance and it’s more likely the circulation motor has failed or jammed, this will in turn probably trip the heater safety device.
Power off if you are going in yourself :zap:
If you need an engineer, please check repairs@

I also have a same type of fault as described above. Model APL 8214(details below)… Was there a solution to this problem??
As well as the machine not filling, the timer doesn’t appear to be turning either. If you turn it around to a wash cycle the element will start heating up but that’s about all. If you put it onto a rinse cycle absolutely nothing happens, no water, and again the timer doesn’t ‘click’ around.
