My father has a Currys Essential Electric Cooker that is throwing too much smoke out,ive given it a thorough clean out thinking because he is old he’s probably had a few spillages etc but still the smoke is the same….ive looked at the element and although it is glowing red there are a few inches of it either side of where it connects to the wires and that part is dark….any ideas what the problem might be ?

could well do but it will stop
the materials the oven is made of is fire proof so wont burn or smoke. All this is is cooking residue it will burn off with use. The residue on the elements will be gone in minutes but bits on the roof or walls will take longer as they are not in direct heat contact
