I have a Grundig GKN67920DX fridge freezer, brand new. It works fine but I I can’t move the glass shelves in the fridge. They are supposed to be able to be moved up or down in slots provided but in reality they are fixed in position by clips at the back which resist all attempts to move them. Grundig have not replied to a request for help. Does anyone know how to move these shelves? I have never had this problem with any other fridge.

I have looked for every occurrence of “shelf” and “shelves” but nothing about how to move them.

The manual covers evrything else by the looks of it but the fridge shelves!!

Looks like it’s Beko made, have you tried to tilt the shelf upwards or downwards from the rear or front and sliding it towards you?

I have tried everything short of breaking the clips that are holding these shelves in place. It may come to that if nobody has a better idea. There is no need for them as the shelves rest on supports at both sides, front and back..

I have known shelves that indeed do have retaing clips for transportation purposes.

If you can take a photo that would help us, you would need to host it first on Google pics or the like.

I’ll have to wait till my daughter gets home – she has a really good phone camera.

Just sat thinking about different clips I have seen over the years, Try a sharp tug forward with both hands towards the edge of the shelf. Some clips have small lugs which bend up in order to release them.

Yes! That did it. Required a strong pull followed by a lift. I’ll post a picture anyway, so you can see it.
