ParticipantZanussi Washer Dryer.
ZWD76SB4PW.
914603922.Customer complaint: Dryer not drying.
Upon visit, nothing seemed/tested incorrect.
Drying fan runs, it switches the drying element on for roughly 5-10 seconds and then seemingly aborts the program. The timer display will go to 0:10 at this point despite what the program was intended to do.
Tried it on timed dry and automatic dry with a damp load and same result everytime.
Any idea/tech, please. Machine is not even two years old.
Many thanks.

ParticipantThanks Dave.
No, not yet. Knew it was possible, but haven’t done so in a while and didn’t remember the sequence.
Better out my reading glasses on

ParticipantHello Dave.
The diagnostic mode showed E72 – Output Drying NTC failure.
Excuse my ignorance, but what NTC is this refering to? There is one mounted in the top front of the drying frame just above the door seal. Another located near pulley which pushes into the outer tank.
I have room temperature reading of 7kohms on NTC near door seal (top of drying frame), and 0.5kohms for the NTC located at rear near pulley.
There is another error code (e73) which refers to as Input drying NTC failure. I’m not getting the e73 error.
Thanks for any help and apologies if this info is explained in the documents you had sent me.
Daniel.

ParticipantPresumably air flow (deduced by position of dryer element relative to dryer fan) flows from back to front, exiting through the door seal.
Meaning outlet NTC is the one situated on drying frame located above door seal.
The zanussi website doesn’t name them as such, unfortunately.
I read on another post the usual resistance at room temp is in the 6k ohm range. Thus, if wiring is not faulty, module is faulty.
Does anyone know the expected resistance of outlet NTC at room temp?
Cheers.

ParticipantThanks.
Will reply with room temp resistance of rear sensor when it arrives for future reference.

Participant- New rear probe sensor reads 7kohms at room temp, so the old one was faulty.
Thanks for your help Dave, good man!
