    I have a Bosch Maxx5 washing machine, E NR WAA24270GB/24, FD8909 101889.

The machine has stopped, full of water. It is supposed to have a service flap on the bottom right corner that will allow water to be drained and the drain pump to be cleaned. However, the front of the machine is completely sealed. There is no service flap!

I have contacted Bosch online and sent them a photo of the machine. They say “Any pictures we have of this model do have the service flap, so it is baffling that yours does not. We do apologise”.

I would be very grateful if someone could tell me what the solution to this problem is!

Have you tried popping the plinth off?

you have the one with the pump fitted directly to the drum you need to tilt it back and climb under the machine and the pump is there. bit tricky to empty so you can check it

    Thanks for your replies.

There was no plinth in front but managed to empty machine as suggested.

However, still didn’t work as drum would not rotate, so ended up having to replace machine.

Either was an interverse blockage in the air trap or / and the motor brushes worn out. If consolation the brushes for this model are around 68 quid a pair according to Bosch`s spares site.
