Mr Morden
ParticipantHi, my cooker:- Zanussi cooker
Mod :- ZCV68310WA
PROD No :-9849004062 06Has developed a fault. I had oven on in thermaflow mode and fuse tripped.
so i switched oven off at wall and reset fuse box and then switched on and set clock as manual says.Theremaflow mode is not heating up and checking my electricty usage monitor next to cooker (connects to meter) there is no additional energy draw.
Every other mode on the cooker works fine and heats up as expected and I see increased energy draw on meter.
i have checked and fan is spinning up in thermaflow mode and indicator for theramstat is lit when i increase temperature.I tried calling electrolux who wanted to send an engineer out, which for me i might as well buy a new cooker and get one with warranty if thats the case. They would not advise what was faulty.
Does anyone have any idea what may be faulty?
Thanks

Moderatorsounds like an element failure
if you cant do it yourself you should be able to get an independant engineer to do it a lot cheaper

ParticipantIs it an element if fan mode and grill modes are working ok?
I can cook fine using fan mode and i use grill mode to preheat the oven.
I looked at parts diagram for cooker and there are 3 elements one next to fan and 1 top and bottom.
Does thermaflow mode when chose utilise a 4th element?
edit..
Checking meter i see
grill mode :- 1.62 KW
oven no fan :- 1.92 KW icon is —
—Thermaflow :- goes up by 2 watts (assuming thats fan doing that)
grill mode with fan :- 1.62 KW
Fan oven :- 1.95 KW
bottom element of oven only :- 1.04 KW
Defrost :- goes up by 2 watts, as no heat in this modeor is element at back of oven around fan only for thermaflow and not for fan mode?
(With fan mode using top/bottom elements ?)December 31, 2023 at 1:24 pm #488963electrofix
Moderatorrear element is still the first one i Would check
try taking the fan cover off inside the oven. sometimes you can see damage where the element has blown
to be certain you either have to measure the element resistance or change it
also i thing you may have the first 2 numbers of your pnc number transposed. you list it starting 984 but the listing i found starts 948

ParticipantThanks ill try taking cover off and see after the 1st jan.
Your right i got numbers wrong, should be 948.

And looking at icons on dial thermaflow has circle round fan where as fan mode has a line top and bottom.
if i have cover off can also see if element at fan heats up when fan is on as well.
Thanks
