Ive been trying to fix a machine that shouldnt be fixed and Ive got 99{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} of it sorted but I need a part that just isnt listed anywhere so…..

    Ive found this: https://shop.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/1240178002-washing-machine-bearing-seal-collar

What I need to know is, if anyone has one about them, is the size of it externally. Im hoping its 40mm but without ordering one, Ive no idea.
Ive contacted a few spares places and nobody seems to either know the size / wants to help. All I get is, whats the model number?, and it makes no difference because its not a listed part on my machine.

    Hopefully, someone can help.

A few minutes after I posted it, I think Ive found the answer!

    Ring part number 1240178002 should be 41mm ID x 35mm ID x 17mm Length

So an Electrolux /Zanussi spider`s oil seal hub ring. As a matter of interest / potentially X referencing what was the actual model number of the washing machine though, as you know, internal and external sizes are, and unhelpfully, not usually given.

I found the dimensions for it specified on a european sellers website. It’s bang on internal and external but 4mm deeper. A slight interference fit on the shaft. Dropped straight on with a bit of heat. Waiting for one more bearing to come then I’ll offer it up. If its OK then woohoo otherwise I’ll just take 4mm off it.

Hotpoint NM11 1045 wc a uk which is whirlpool on the model label.

the more info we have, the better we can fix the unfixable

For anyone reading this for future info, the ring fits fine on internal and external dimensions but you do have to take about 3mm or so from its depth. I took it to my pals place today as he has a lathe. It will be going back together shortly
