Our Blomberg Fridge Freezer (3DN1070) developed a nasty noise from the middle section.

By the time I had managed to investigate it further, the noise had stopped but cooling efficiency of both top units has been impaired, the freezer works perfectly.

The noise was traced to a fan in the middle fridge, the plastic had split allowing the fan to wobble, hence the noise, but finally drilling a larger hole allowing the motor to spin.

I have fixed the fan but am not sure as to which way round it should be mounted.

Should cold air be forced into the middle fridge or sucked out?

It won’t matter, the fan itself will have the same fin angle whichever way you mount it, it’s the direction of the motor that determines which way the air is forced 😉

I had to go and dismantle my office cooling fan to check that as well 😆

    Dave.
