this dishwasher wash pump starts up for few secs then pause then starts up again in a loop.
I don’t know if it is capacitor issue or faulty board? Logics says if capacitor, it wouldn’t even attempt to start, even if it did work the wash motor would be running less power. This conflicted my thoughts, hence faulty board?

I assume no fault codes are appearing if you leave it running
How long have you left it ?
and your correct it cant be a capacitor

I have left it in this mode for approx 5 mins to try get some sense. It is draining fine, filling fine until the wash pump comes on which starts ok then slows then speed up and so on. I thought there could be a blockage somewhere which I discounted very quickly and I have ran through lots of options and none of it seems to fit in with the symptoms. All of the programs doing the same thing.
The dishwasher is 6 years old
