I had a similar fault once and only once before. It is no doubt due to my age 😥 🙂 but I cannot for the life of me remember what the cause was. 😳

Machine starts to fill OK, when pressure switch closes at first level, motor starts to run but the drain pump is firing on & off all the time. All wiring harness is perfect, no chafing etc. Suspect the control unit but I suppose it could be the pressure switch. The heater wiring is perfect and this fault occurs during rinse as well as wash cycle.

Its the Pressure Switch (09084567) for sure

Safety level switch within does a wobbly, trust me 😉

Thanks for that, I do seem to recall that it was that on the last one, but it is around four years ago. 🙂

Just to tidy this one up in case it helps anyone else. New pressure switch did the trick. I dug out my invoices from 5/6 years back and found it was exactly the same fault. 🙂

Just for your info, I keep a log book on the van with a few Least encounterd faults with a few notes on the fault and subsequent remidies, listed under

manufacturer make and model then its just a quick look through the log and usually Bingo, without hours of head scratching.

    Hope this may help

Believe me, if I kept such a log book it would by now be as big as ‘War and Peace’ 😉 Whilst I now need varifocals and my hearing is not what it was, my memory is normally very good. The info was in there it just needed a prod to bring it out.

Still a very good suggestion all the same.
