went to one like that years ago
thye rats ate the sump hose causing a leakfound out how they got in 3 weeks later when i went to the flat next door and found an open 4 inch sewer pipe under the sink

That picture reminds me of a Whirlpool dishwasher in a lean-to-cum-conservatory filled with boxes containing shredded newspaper. When moving the boxes, mice scarpered everywhere. Luckily, parts to resolve the dishwasher leak were no longer available.
My first encounter with a rodent however was across the terminal block behind the lower front panel of a 1990s Bosch dishwasher – I imagine its death was instantaneous.
