ParticipantI have a Viceroy VDIS4149 dishwasher. The glasses, and cups on the top basket are coming out with bits of residue or spots of food etc on them.
I have cleaned the filter, I have not overloaded the basket and I know the top wash arm is spinning and jetting water.
I rinse food off plates etc before they are loded into the machine.
I have washed glasses 3x but they still come out like this. I have started washing them now by hand.
There is plenty of salt and rinse aid in the machine.
For the life of me I cannot pinpoint the cause of the problem.
Any ideas? Also, last year I ordered a spare door wire and spring after consulting a parts diagram I found on the net.
This year after 2 days of searching I cannot find a parts diagram. Can anyone help?
Thanks in advance

Moderatoris it getting hot ?
finding parts diagrams should not be a problem as the unit is a rebadged Vestel unit

Moderatorif you want a diagram of a particular area i can probably find one
if you need part numbers i would need the long serial number to get it accurate

ParticipantDave, I managed to order what I need for now from the Vestral parts list you suggested on spares2repair.
I think I may have ordered what I need.
But thanksMay 28, 2024 at 8:43 pm #490413kanewesley
ParticipantIts the glasses coming out with small spots of food scattered on them that is my problem.
I have since read NOT to part rinse food off plates etc before putting in the dishwasher as the detergent need these food particles to work correctly ???
Dont understand that one.
Then a guy on Fixya suggested to rinse all the flatware before loading it into the machine, to rinse the machine out BEFORE use, to wash glasses first. to spray them with clean water on removal, then to put the flatware plates and cutlery into the machine AFTER the glasses have been washed? All that pratting about and I may as well wash them all by hand.
But the one about the detergent needing food etc left on the plates to help it do its job is beyond me !!May 28, 2024 at 10:48 pm #490414kwatt

ParticipantI sorted the problem after scouring the net.
2 or 3 holes were partially blocked in the spray bar.
UNBLOCKED.Basket wheel missing so the basket was cross-jostled and not sitting square to the water inlet on the back of the machine resulting in water leakage before it got into the spray bar.
REPLACED.The rubber sealing gasket on the top drawer..at this very point, was deformed so the full water pressure was not entering the spray bar
REPLACED.Filled up with salt and GOOD QUALITY rinse aid.
All good again!!
Hope if this post is te read it will help others as I reckon this is a very common problem.
Ignore that clap trap about purposely leaving dirty food on the plates to assist cleaning
