I’ve been asked to install a dishwasher (seen in the picture) which will require about 9 feet of drain hose. I’m thinking of bringing the drain hose along the floor till I get to the sink unit – then up to a loop at the top of the left-hand sink unit, and dropping down into a NEW appliance trap (replaces existing pipework as seen in picture). Any issues/suggestions? Thanks, Mark
Thanks for the input. It would be great if drain pump motors rated at a few more watts could be found for these situation – like 60w instead of 40w.

If I take the drain hose straight up at the back of the dishwasher, and then a gradual slope to the sink trap, that should help the pump motor as the majority of the drain water will gravity feed to the trap. But will this introduce a large section of air into the hose, and would that be bad?
