Miele W668F stuck with error lights

Hi All,

We have a Miele W668F that seems to be stuck with some errors showing.

The unit is one of the narrow (vertical drum) models and is quite old but has had little use.

When the unit first showed an error and wouldn’t run, the pump filter access on the front was opened and some built up lint removed around the impeller.

Now when the unit is switched on, it immediately seems to run the pump continuously (to drain?) and shows two warning lights:
– check water drain
– check water inlet

No other functions seem to work.

There is no problem with the water supply pipe and the errors etc occur even when the control dial is in the ‘stop’ position.

Any ideas about what might have failed in the unit or how to get it back on track would be greatly appreciated! I’ve had excellent experience with queries on this forum before and really value this community 🙂

The unit is in Finland so carries Finnish language markings for the controls.
