I have a Beko DVS04X20W, two years old

It does a wash cycle then fails to drain. When it gets to the point when it should usually drain there is a feeble sound a couple of times, then at the top of the display a horizontal line starts flashing. I sponged out the water and checked the filters, which are only very slightly clogged with grease. After sponging out it will not start a wash cycle again.

I can get it to start a wash cycle by pulling it out and tipping it up a bit. But it still fails to drain as described above.

I disconnected the drain hose and sucked on it, there was a gurgling sound and some water came out up the tube. I ran it on a 70 degree cycle.

I have been doing nearly all washes on an economy 50 degrees cycle

Is there something I can check or clean up or replace? Is this model of washer easy to work on?

Would it be worth a call-out and repair fee? It is a cheap dishwasher and although only two years old I don’t want to spend money on it only to be told it isn’t worth repairing.

    Any comments welcome.

    Thank you.

I have noticed that when I start a cycle there is just a very quiet buzzing sound. Would I be right in thinking that the drain pump should be going around at this stage, and that I should be able to hear it?

Any idea how I can reach the drain pump?

    yes drain pump jammed

you can access from the lower from the lower front cover

the pump twists off but the is a latch that you would have to find and unlock to turn it

    Thank you very much.

When you say to access from the lower front cover do you mean that the kicker board under the door is removable, and that once removed I can twist the pump off? I can’t see how that kicker board would come off.

Or do I have to tip it on its back and access the pump that way?

    remove outer door

    remove lower cover

then pump is there on left attatched to the sump

you can also get at it from underneath by removing the base

once you find it ( follow the outlet hoses) the pump twists off but it has a latch which you will have to find and depress

there may som videos about on how
