    Hi guys,

Ok, I have a Blomberg 1301 with blown control PCB and signs of water on the door interlock cover (rubber sleave). The interlock assembly looks fine, no signed of water there.

Burnt PCB tracking suggests door interlock caused the failure so no supprise there.

Question is with a DCR of 2K5 accross the door interlock, is this a permament fault? I’ve no problem buying in replacement parts although want to be 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} sure the interlock is shot before buying in a replacement.

Guess the second question is current price & availability of the door interlock & control board.

    Thanks in advance!

    1301AWW?

    Door lock is p/no 55X3636
    Timer is p/no 55X5478.

Dave Conway will be able to advise on price and availibility for you.

You have described one of the two classic Blomberg faults, door lock gets wet, goes bang and flashes back to timer unit. Some people have tried soldering the blown tracks back down, but often other components on the PCB are damaged, so replacement is the only guaranteed option.n Simplest way of checking the lock is to shake it; any rattling noises and it’s definitely blown.

    Power off, of course.

Would recommend not taking the chance and change the interlock anyway. May need full product number as I know of 2 non interchamgerble locks for this range.

    Mellow.
    M/C is a 1301ABB, 5yrs old.
Was more than one type of interlock or controller fitted on these?
-heh, it did apparantly go into a quite erratic spin shortly before death. Guess this is how the interlock got wet.
Thanks for the support, chaps. Much appreciated.
