Lamona 8605 built in dishwasher – filling and draining in continuous loop

Fault: filling and draining in continuous loop, only triggered when starting a program rather than door closed. I know the different between flooded base pump out and faulty program pump out. I fear that I may have answered the problem already such as faulty program but just wanted to be sure.

This one has me stumped as I thought (wrongly) it was the flow meter which I replaced and sadly did not solve it.

no leaks on base, there was evidence of past leaks but nothing of recent.

any thoughts? Ordinarily I would have searched for Beko dishwasher thread for common theme but I don’t know which model is directly identical to. If you can help me point toward to direct identical model by Beko for any known faults such as one stated above, that would be super helpful.
