ParticipantI have a Miele H2267 1BP , Typ BP60Di-00, with pyrolitic cleaning. The oven door needs to lock before the cleaning cycle starts. However its not working. The padlock sign flashes. I can see the motorised catch come out, engage (locking the door) but then retract. It keeps doing this for about 10 mins and then gives error F32, door not locked. I’ve felt the catch with my hand and the motor is acting powerfully when it comes out. For some reason it doesn’t recognise that it has locked and just retracts to try again. What should tell it that it has engaged? Any advice appreciated. Thank you

Moderatorthere will be switch inside the lock that tells the computer when its closed
if this switch is not operting correctly it wont lock
bad news is fault could also be the board not working properly and that will cost. lets hope its a door sw problem

ParticipantDave, Thank for that. I’ve looked into the lock mechanism and found the switch. There are two microswitches a white one and a grey one. Its the grey one which is supposed to activate when the door is locked. I can see that the operating lever comes up to it, depresses it slightly, but not enough to activate. Has anyone encountered that before ?

Moderatorall switches are a potential failure
you would need to check the operation with a multimeter

ParticipantDave. Yes Ive checked switch with a multimeter and its good. Also pressing it manually does activate the pyro function, so I know that all works. Its just that the plastic actuator doesn’t quite press it far enough to activate. Next step will be to either replace the switch or just “extend” the actuator. The switch is a DX41 single pole double throw which is easily available but they seem to come with different connector configurations so its important I get one which is physically plug compatible. That means I’ll have to take the oven apart again to get the dimensions. Thanks for your continued interest and help.

Moderatorok is the door closing all the way to allow the lock to work ?
all parts are shown seperately but typical miele some are not cheap

Participantwhen you say”all parts are shown seperately” can you post a link to a parts diagram? I haven’t found one.
But I think I’ve solved my problem. I’ve glued a small piece of plastic shim to the actuator so it presses a bit further, and now it works. Its not very professional but its working now. Time will tell how long that lasts .October 6, 2024 at 4:06 pm #491430electrofix
