ParticipantNeff dishwasher – S511A50X1G/55
Customer attempted to replace the heater pump and damaged the sensor lead which is a three grey leads into one multiplug next to the heater plug. The lead runs from the pump to the board.
I am trying to avoid buying whole set of wiring loom (two weeks lead time and not in immediate stock availability) so does anyone happen to have access to redundant Bosch/Neff dishwasher and retrieve the sensor lead for me please?
I am happy to pay for material and postage costs.
many thanks

ParticipantThanks Dave,
the plug is damaged and the wires were pulled out. It’s beyond saving hence needing a new line with complete end to end plug, otherwise I would have fixed it. It seems that the sensor wires are now purple instead of grey?October 7, 2024 at 7:15 am #491444electrofix
Moderatorthink the plug on the motor side has not changed but cant comment on the other end
it can be a pig to get this plug out at the best of times. I have pulled the odd wire out while trying to extract it. sounds like your customer has been too enthusiastic

ModeratorYes the way I get the 3 grey wires out is snap the plastic with a flat blade screwdriver as dave has said the motor connection is purple and black on the hige end dishwashers the harness is probably in stock direct and cheaper have a look

I also do use the small screwdriver to get it out. I had a look at another Bosch dishwasher for different purposes, I had wrongly assumed that the sensor lead would go from the pump to the board but it appears to be joined alongside a longer multiplug. I have not had the chance to trace the side wiring from the board to elsewhere and to see how simple to replace the actual sensor harness from pump to board and to third yet identified source. Does anyone happens to have wiring diagrams?

Moderatorok may be able to help
found an old bosch board which wires were cut to remove. one of the plugs is the right size and by cutting off the the locating lugs it goes in and makes a solid connectionthe bad new is one of the leads is only about 15mm long but am sure you could solder and tape it. the other 2 wires are about 3 inches

ParticipantA local engineer who doesn’t tread on my patch kindly gave me wiring harness off a redundant 2016 model. To be fair, he buys spare parts off from me as I have a multiple sources. I am pleased to report that I have fixed it. It is good to know that the sensor lead goes to the board and share the multiplug with magnetic door sensor, very fiddly that was!
