    Hi everyone,
I am struggling a bit with this one.
I have just picked up an Electra TDC8112 as its been over-heating and tripping the safety cut out.
*easy fix i was hoping for!
after test running the machine I can confirm it’s getting way too HOT!
The drum temperature is getting to over 100oC, The heater doesn’t seem to cycle.
I have already stripped the machine down to check the obvious points. i.e air flow is not restricted fan is clear, condenser is clear etc
The NTC sensor under the fluff filter seems to be working (Resistance dropping as temperature increases)
The heater looks like it’s in good condition and the NTC on the heater element itself is also changing resistance.
Am I missing something silly or has anyone had this problem before?
The heater relay on the board isn’t stuck on either as there is a small delay when starting the drum before activating the heat
    Thanks in advance.

check the resitances of both NTC’s

Door NTC Resistance : 12 kΩ (Measured from IDC connected to electronic card )
Heater NTC Resistance : 19.5 kΩ (Measured from IDC connected to electronic card )

normally measured about 20 degrees C

Hi Dave. Sorry about the delay in replying.
    NTC’s seem to measure fine.
Picked up another dryer today. Branded as swan but is identical. This also seems to have the same problem. It Trips the thermostat every so often.
