I have exactly the same issue as described in the post below (on this forum). Unfortunately there was no resolution reported in that thread. The original poster was twicknix.

I’m going to post the exact message from the old thread:

This cooker had me confused. Can anyone give me pointers on what are the problem and how to fix this? I thought it was the simmersats but all of them are doing it. I had a look on the diagram circuits on the booklet, it doesn’t imply that there is or are thermostat(s) in the circuits except for ovens. Your thoughts and suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks
    Matt

If Matt is still around I wonder if he can remember the outcome, or has anyone else since figured this out on a Toledo 90?

on that video they are all cutting in and out randomly

does look like the ring thermal cutouts are activating

have you looked in the owners manual as would need serial no to look it up

I’ve asked the client who says there is a manual and she will dig it out. Hopefully it will have a serial number.

serial no needs to come off the cooker

often if the is a lower storage compartment its hidden in there

first 4 digits of serial are the model no used to search for parts etc

Gosh! This takes me back a while, you know Covid happened since then! I think I was stumped as much as you are so I simply mentioned on type of pans being used and left it there. Not heard anything since so maybe she took my advice?

at best the dont work or not very well and at worst it will blow the inverter board

Thanks for getting back – right I’ll maybe take some of my pans which are heavy stainless steel and give them a go. Worth a try.

Was that for induction hobs? This one is a ceramic hob.

yes it was for induction but its almost the same

unless the pan can take the heat away as fast as its being produced the ring will cut out

also full power on any ring is not needed for long usually as once things start to boil you turn them down

All induction hobs are ceramic glass.
