    Hi all,
I have removed the tank and drum in preparation for replacement of bearings. However I find on the IQ100 the two halves of the tank are not easily separable.
The YouTube video I was following was for an IQ700 in which the 2 halves are bolted together.
Has anyone got any tips of try to prise the two halves apart – is it possible? (I did see a YouTube from Mumbai which apparently shows it can be done by progressively tapping a blunt chisel in the gap around the circumference to prise the two parts apart).
I’d appreciate any advice as apart from bearings there’s nothing wrong with the machine and it would be a waste to scrap it.
Also – does anyone know if the bearing kit here (05BS10 Compatible Washing Machine Bearing Kit) will be compatible. I don’t see the E-NR on the list?

    Many thanks

if you did get it apart you have to figure out how your going to weld it back together again and seal it. there is lots of stress on the joint from concrete weights and heavy washing etc

as for the bearings they should not be a problem as they will use standard sizes but the water seal would have to be sourced from somewhere. it may be common one but you would need the numbers off it

Thanks Dave – thought as much.
I may press on and see if I can separate as nothing to lose really.
    cheers
