Our AEG Competence double oven is working for 5 minutes or so and then it blows the fuse for the kitchen. The top grill oven still works ok.
Can I buy a part and repair this myself? I’ve googled it and it looks fiddly.
AEG repairs are £175. Is that worth it?

You would need the PNC number of the oven for anyone to be able to look it up, they are not all the same.

And, that could be caused by a few things so unless you’re comfortable with taking the oven out and stripping it a bit as well as the use of a meter, you might be better to get a pro to repair it for you.

    Its a De4003020M

Many thanks for the reply. Is it worth repairing – it’s at least 6yrs old probably and would you go to the manufacturer or who do I go to?

Is it on an RCD as if it is it could be just about anything that’s causing it to trip but, it’s likely worth repairing at that age.

ok a lot of modern electrical systems use RCBO’s instead of circuit breakers. these not only detect over current events but also earth problems. if you system has RCBO’s then this is probably a duff element

check id you have them. look for the test button on each circuit
