Toc has failed on heater. Part 8581366110329 is expensive. Wondering if possible to get toc from somewhere although it is riveted in.

Mikeyou want get the stat. if you did you have to wonder if its safe and if it went wrong your liable
cheapest i can see is connect at £69 plus vat
There is also a tech bulletin to make sure its fitted correctly or it blows TOC

as you said its rivetted so you can never get it off to change it even if you could get one
part no is correct if you type it into connect search bar

Thanks Maddox do genuine for about same price so no worries. Just wondered if someone had got round the toc problem as thats all it is . Have fitted new replacements before and they dont last despite all cleaning etc.
thats always a worry when parts are that expensive. The stat is held with steel rivets on a flimbsy back so drilling them out would fail even if you could manage to source a stat. Dont know why they dont use a stat with a reset hole like hotpoint
the tech bulletin on fitting the element goes into making sure the air flows correctly otherwise the stat blows. they must have had problems otherwise the bulletin would not have been issued
