ParticipantHello all,
Looking to replace the above integrated fridge (also sold under the Gorenje and Hygena brandsway back when) , but I have no documentation giving the dimensions.
My best attempts at measuring suggest it’s around 80-82 cm high, 50 cm width and 50 cm depth. I’ve had no joy searching for an integrated fridge that size online.
Any hints would be greatly welcomed. Thanks!

Moderatorsounds like an integrated under counter fridge
measure the gap not the fridge
most of them are designed for a 600mm gap cant see any 500mm

ModeratorIf it’s a built under fridge ie under the worktop then they are all the same size.
You have sliding hinge system on yours so make sure you go for the same fitting.

ParticipantThanks don and electrofix for your helpful replies. It’s in a cabinet in the kitchen rather than under a worktop. It’s in my elderly mum’s kitchen, so I’ll take some more measurements next time I’m there, although from memory after visiting earlier today, there was 2-3 centimetres clearance on height and apparently no spare breadth. Perhaps her 20+ year old kitchen fittings are undersized for current fridges? So far my online searches have yielded fridges 50 cm wide but too tall for the slot, and ones 80 cm tall but apparently too wide! I have found a UK customer service email for Gorenje so I’ve dropped them a line to see if they have the dimensions.

ParticipantAfter several unavailing hours over the weekend looking for measurements for the outgoing fridge, my conclusion is it’ll have to be left in place to die and I’ll buy her a mini-fridge for use on a table top somewhere. I’m assuming they are all fairly crappy, but no other options.

Moderatorok that makes a difference
I have been assuming its a build under fridge when its a built in fridge
completely different sizes
width is no problem its the height thats the sticking point

ParticipantThanks Electrofix; just wondering whether something like this would work? I fear the answer is no – since presumably we’d come unstuck with the fitting – though the size seems spot on. https://www.currys.co.uk/products/beko-ul4482w-undercounter-fridge-white-10253141.html

Moderatorwell you could not integrate it but there is no rule that says a free standing fridge has to be on the floor

ModeratorAs long as there is a small gap at the top to let the heat from the compressor escape then it’s fine.

ParticipantWith a grim inevitability, Currys say they don’t install freestanding fridges in formerly integrated spaces. Maybe worried about safety/legal implications, I have no idea. So, it’s looking like a mini-fridge, but first must buy a small table with sufficient depth to set it on, and move something else out of the way to make space! Who knew this could get so complicated?
