    Bosch Washing Machine.
    WAN28250GB/53
    Fd: 0305. Z-nr: 101143.

    The Machine is aborting the spin phase of the program without even attempting to spin. Display Timer will be on 2 – 4 minutes during last the of the rinses, after which the program ends and the door is unlocked. The laundry is ringing wet as no attempt has been made to spin it!

    The last load they done consisted of Bath Mats, so on my first visit I explained that an unbalanced load such as Bath Mats may cause the machine to abort the spin phase of its cycle, preventing excessive movement and vibrations causing damage.

    I returned after a few days to fit an oven grill and they reported that the machine still wouldn’t spin, and that the laundry was still ringing wet, despite the load size and/or program. Tried it myself and witnessed the machine not bother attempting to spin.

    I then took the motor off and inspected, along with the motor sensor, checked empty drain rate etc. Couldn’t find anything obviously wrong. Put it all back together and tried it again out of curiosity. The machine worked perfectly, completing the spin without issue.

    A week later, the issue is back.

    I’ve visited a third time and tried unplugging the machine for 20 minutes – This hasn’t reset the fault. The machine still refuses to attempt spinning.

    The machine flashes the Drum Clean Light. Aside from advising of the need to run a drum clean program (advised after 20 consecutive washes under 60’C) – what else can the flashing drum clean light signify? I read somewhere on the net that it can mean an electrical issue somewhere.

    Also, what is the purpose of the motor sensor – I’ve never seen one before.

    I’m wondering whether the initial unbalanced load of bath mats has damaged the motor sensor, and me taking it apart and refitting had temporarily rest the issue, or maybe a loose connection?

    Any ideas please? Is the motor sensor a new tech tacho?

    No it will be the power inverter module major trouble with these atm way to find the fault is make sure a load is in machine and put on spin the timing will jump from 13 mins to 4 or 3

    Thank you Kaibart. Yes – that’s exactly what I witnessed.

    However, i did manage to get it working again for a week or so, by removing the motor and sensor and reassembling. Maybe that’s just a coincidence, or a power reset of the module by having it unplugged for a while.

    I spoke with my customer a few minutes after composing the OP and they informed me that they had since found their proof of purchase, that the machine was under two years old and they had scheduled the Bosch engineer to visit under warranty.

    The customer also said they’d let me know what the diagnosis is/was after.

    Yes, known fault on board. Bosch engineer replaced part under warranty.

    New boards not much better there is a hardware fault on them changes one 6 months later back changing it again quality of the power module are really poor
